If there is any one Caladium cultivar that feels like it is bred just for Instagram, it would be this one. When I first saw these leaves, I had a hard time believing they were real, the delicate peach-pink splotches of colour randomly distributed around the leaf surface look too pretty to be real!

Because the colours are so light and delicate in this leaf, I had to be careful to do lots of light washes and build up the colour rather than risk painting something too dark and bold. Looking closely at the leaf it was easy to see how the pink splotches also have darker pink veins within them. It was tricky capturing this detail, but hope I have done this beautiful leaf justice.
